Vertical Glass Washing Machine with Air-Knife Drying – SZ-VW25

Efficient Vertical Glass Washing and Drying

The SZ-VW25 vertical glass washer is designed to clean and dry flat glass while keeping the glass in a vertical position throughout the process.

Glass is transported through the washing section, where three pairs of brush rollers clean both surfaces under continuous water spray. It then enters the drying section, where a pair of air knives removes residual water using high-velocity airflow.

The vertical structure simplifies the handling of large glass sheets and enables the machine to connect efficiently with other vertical glass-processing equipment.

Three Pairs of 150 mm Brush Rollers

The washing section is equipped with three pairs of brush rollers, each with a diameter of 150 mm.

The brushes work together with water spray to remove dust, glass powder, fingerprints and other surface contamination. Washing both sides simultaneously supports an efficient, continuous glass-cleaning process.

Air-Knife Drying System

After washing, the glass passes through a pair of air knives.

High-velocity airflow removes residual water from both glass surfaces without requiring contact drying rollers. This helps prevent secondary marks after washing and prepares the glass for inspection, assembly or subsequent processing.

Suitable for Coated and Low-E Glass

The SZ-VW25 can process float glass, coated glass and Low-E glass.

Its brush and washing configuration is designed to clean coated glass surfaces while maintaining an efficient production speed. Appropriate machine settings should be selected according to the glass type and coating requirements.

Automatic Glass Thickness Adaptation

A stainless-steel spring-loaded mechanism automatically accommodates glass thicknesses from 3 to 12 mm.

This allows glass sheets of different thicknesses to pass through the washing and drying sections without complicated manual mechanical adjustment.

Open-Top Structure

The open-top design reduces structural obstruction above the glass transport path and supports the handling of tall glass panels.

The SZ-VW25 has a rated maximum glass height of 2500 mm and is suitable for large architectural glass sheets processed in a vertical orientation.

Stainless-Steel Wet Section

Components in contact with water in the washing section are made of stainless steel or corrosion-resistant materials.

This construction helps protect the machine from corrosion, reduces the risk of secondary contamination and supports convenient cleaning and maintenance.

How the Vertical Glass Washer Works

1. Glass Infeed

The glass sheet is placed vertically on the infeed conveyor and transported into the washing section.

2. Water-Spray Washing

Water is sprayed continuously onto the glass as it enters the brush-washing area.

3. Double-Sided Brush Cleaning

Three pairs of 150 mm brush rollers clean both glass surfaces to remove dust and other contaminants.

4. Automatic Thickness Adaptation

The spring-loaded mechanism accommodates glass thicknesses from 3 to 12 mm as the glass moves through the machine.

5. Air-Knife Drying

A pair of air knives directs high-velocity airflow across both glass surfaces to remove residual water.

6. Glass Outfeed

The clean and dry glass exits the machine in a vertical position, ready for inspection or further processing.

FAQ

1. What is the SZ-VW25 vertical glass washing machine used for?

It is designed for automatic washing and air-knife drying of flat glass in a vertical position. It can be used independently or integrated into vertical glass-processing lines.

2. What is the maximum glass height?

The rated maximum glass height is 2500 mm.

3. What is the minimum glass size?

The minimum glass size is 500 × 500 mm.

4. What glass thicknesses can the machine process?

The SZ-VW25 processes glass from 3 to 12 mm thick.

5. How does the machine accommodate different glass thicknesses?

A stainless-steel spring-loaded mechanism automatically adapts to glass thicknesses between 3 and 12 mm.

6. Can it wash Low-E and coated glass?

Yes. The machine is suitable for float, coated and Low-E glass when the appropriate processing settings are used.

7. How many brushes does the machine have?

It is equipped with three pairs of brush rollers—six brushes in total. Each brush has a diameter of 150 mm.

8. How is the glass dried?

A pair of air knives directs high-velocity airflow onto both glass surfaces to remove residual water.

9. What is the processing speed?

The adjustable processing-speed range is 2–6.5 m/min.

10. What is the purpose of the open-top design?

The open-top structure reduces obstruction above the glass transport path and makes it easier to handle tall glass panels within the machine’s rated processing range.

11. Can it be integrated into an insulating glass line?

Yes. The vertical structure makes the SZ-VW25 suitable for integration into insulating glass and other vertical glass-processing lines.
